EXPO 2015

In Milan from May 1st 2015 will begin EXPO 2015, with its theme “Feeding the planet”. A unique opportunity, which you can not miss. But Turin and Piedmont will participate too, with a rich calendar of events and ideas. And the Basilica di Superga could not be outdone. In collaboration with the Ecomuseo del Freidano and Bric Tour, we offer a variety of activities and themed events to discover flavors and traditions of the past.

For families:

(three dates in 2015, min 15 participants):

  • on March Freidano Ecomuseum + “The kitchen of the King” at Superga
    In the morning visit to the ecomuseo and mini-workshop on the production of pasta (activity cost 6 euros per person)
    Lunch to the Ristoro del Priore (optional)
    Afternoon laboratory work “The kitchen of the King” to Superga (cost activities families 5 Euro per child + 4 Euro per adult)
  • on April “Gatering Herbs” with Brictour + “The kitchen of the King” at Superga
    In the morning walk in the woods of the hill in search of wild herbs (activity cost 4 Euro per person)
    Lunch to the Ristoro del Priore (optional)
    Afternoon laboratory work “The kitchen of the King” at Superga (activity cost 5 Euro per child + 4 Euro per adult)
  • on September Freidano Ecomuseum + ” Gatering Herbs ” with Brictour
    In the morning visit the ecomuseo and mini-workshop on the production of pasta (activity cost 6 euros per person)
    Lunch to the Ristoro del Priore (optional)
    Afternoon walk in the woods of the hill in search of wild herbs (activity cost 4 Euro per person)

For schools:

Possibility to compose the activities according to your preferences by selecting two paths to choose from:

  • Educational visit and laboratory The kitchen of RE (7 to 11 years)
    The route starts from the small kitchen on the ground floor in the left sleeve of the complex where we will identify differences and similarities between the eighteenth century and today in the way of cooking and to source the raw materials.
    We’ll also see how it changed the feeding time officer. In the lab you will create a set of plates (paper) to be devoted to His Majesty. Activities cost 5 Euro per child (min 15 people)
  • Path “Trip of herbs”
    The gatering of wild plants with the purpose of eating them is a tradition as old as mankind. Every spring BricTour organize walks dedicatet to food, opportunities to learn something more about wild herbs. A rediscovery of traditions, a saving on the purchase of vegetables. Activities cost 4 Euro per child (min 15 people)
  • Visit to the Ecomuseo del Freidano

ELEMENTARY – WHOLE MEAL OF MY BAG

In the frame of the new mill of Settimo T.se retrace along the production cycle, from the grain to wheat bread. You try to grind cereals and produce the flour, you will discover the important characteristics of yeast, you knead and cook the bread.

JUNIOR HIGH AND OVER – EARS AND FUSILLI: FROM THE EARTH TO OUR PLATE

How many cereals know? What types of flour we use? And how many types of grain are there? We answer all these questions, and then embark on a journey into the world of the dough from the north to the south of the peninsula: pizzoccheri, spaghetti alla chitarra, orecchiette … knead and cut them with our hands.
Activities cost 4 Euro per child (min 15 people)

In conjunction with option of dining with a menu dedicated to herbs at the Ristoro del Priore

  • Guided tour of the Basilica, the Royal Tombs, the Royal Apartment, ascent to the Dome activities cost from 4 to 9 Euros per person depending on the chosen path (min 15 people) + typical Piemontese lunch (Euro 20 per person)
